Karen
First Breath Art & Wellbeing Founder
Hello. I am Karen.
I am a dreamer, a maker, a healer, an artist, a myotherapist, a meditation and mindfulness teacher and a lover of this crazy beautiful journey we call life. My passion is to encourage and nurture people to be better, less stressed versions of themselves and nudge them gently into their own light. First Breath Art & Wellbeing is a beautiful nurturing space which I created to help people relax and restore.
I have combined my love of massage, healing, balancing, coaching, visualisation and art to invite people to step up to their lives. De-stress and dive deep into joy.
I am endlessly fascinated by the human mind and body, the amount of pressure it can endure and the small distress signals they send us. I want to remind people to take care of themselves, teach them to breathe lighter and deeper, help them connect deeply with their own intuition and create a place of healing and renewal.
I started First Breath with meditation and massage but I quickly understood that art could provide a useful tool for investigative healing. Art provides us with a peek into our own psyche plus it can be raucous fun. When I have a room of women or children painting, I truly believe that the world and the humans in it are extraordinary and capable of anything.
I have three decades of experience in the holistic health industry but it wasn’t until I turned my back on a lucrative corporate career that I experienced life as magical, fizzing and frothing. Alive with possibilities. I have created this life for myself and now I want to help others create that for themselves.
If you want to drop into your own centre or leap out to your own dream, First Breath Art & Wellbeing can help you. Together we will arrive there.
